Yalta will host international jazz festival «Dzhaliton» -2011
From 4 till May 9 at Yalta to hold the 6 th International Youth Jazz Festival Dzhaliton "-2011, reports Resort and Information Centre of the ARC.
Jazz Festival is a joint creative project "Foundation of Art. Basil Sokolik, "National League of Ukrainian composers" in Yalta, a musical salon Black Sea, Yalta, Music School. A. Spendiarian and is supported by the Ministry of Culture of Crimea and Yalta city council. Honorary president of the festival is the Honoured Artist of Ukraine, laureate of international competitions and festivals, composer Enver Izmailov.
As described Resort-information center in the organizing committee of the festival, this event is organized with the purpose of revival and development of the world's best traditions of jazz, the popularization of jazz music among young people.
The Festival will present four competitive nomination: orchestras, choirs and choral ensembles, soloists, ensembles, composition.
Contestants will perform two jazz works, with choir and orchestra can optionally perform three works.
According to organizers, this year's festival will feature 32 jazz groups from different cities of Ukraine and Russia. Honorary chairman of the festival this year will be the winner of 12 international jazz competitions Yuri Kovacs.
In addition, the event will be held a master class with renowned masters of jazz, will be held in the evening socializing in the music salon "Black Sea", trips to the Crimea and the sea walk on the boat.
