Wind parks built in the Crimea.

Greek company «PRENECON SA Prime Energy Construction SA »plans to explore a number of Crimean regions to assess their wind potential and identify a number of areas for construction of wind parks.

According to the press service of the Council of Ministers of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, wind parks, the total capacity of which will be 1000MVt, plan to build in Lenin, Pervomaiskoye, Razdolnensky and Krasnoperekopsk areas.

At a meeting with the leadership of the Crimean government president Dimitrios Psaradakis said that after visiting the above-mentioned areas, the company will determine the future location of wind parks and the timing of the project.

head of the Crimean government Viktor Plakida noted that the consumption of electrical energy in the Crimea is 1250 MW. In turn, the wind potential of the Crimea is almost three times higher and amounts to - 3400 MW.
