One of the attractions of the valley is famous Gurzuf Arbour winds, located on the edge of a rocky cliff at an altitude of 1400 meters. Arbor was built in 1956. It is a stone colonnade under the dome.
About a kilometer east of the mountains Avunda on the edge of the cliff of the southern slope of the Main Ridge of Crimean mountains, looking more closely, we can see a small white building. This is the famous "Arbour winds". Vertex on which it is located, called the step-Kai (translated from the Crimean Tatar - falconry rock).
"Arbour winds" was built in 1956. It is a stone colonnade under the dome. The diameter of the colonnade of about 4 meters, height of 6 meters pavilion. On the floor paved with mosaics depicting the wind rose, from here and gave its name to the arbor. I must say that at this point plateau often strong winds blow, the rate of which reaches 40 meters per second. So that the name gazebo is fully justified. In 1998, the pavilion has been restored and is now above the entrance to it is possible to read her new name - Starfall memories. " In the summer of 2001 at 50 m west of the pavilion of winds "in honor of the 10 th anniversary of Ukraine's independence was established a large wooden cross around 6 feet tall. This cross, if it is good look, can be seen from Gurzuf.
From "Arbour Wind" is an amazing beautiful view of the Ayu-Dag, Gurzuf, Partenit, southern slope of the mountains. And, of course, on the Black Sea. In clear weather the sea here is viewed by approximately 150 kilometers.
Slightly east of the pavilion is covered with forested mountain Koboplu (993 m). Further to the east - through the Roman-Kosh - Ayu-Dag rises as wooded mountain Sentry-Kai (1.268 m, translated from the Crimean Tatar - "guard mount"), going down to the spur of the Ayu-Dag. Prior Arbors Winds can reach from the saddle Gurzufskoe saddle, located one mile east of it. From Gurzuf to the arbor can be accessed over a short path through the village of Guerrilla. But there need help with knowledgeable guides. However, the arbor is worth visiting to enjoy the panoramic view from there.
